Piggly Wiggly, situated in the heart of the KZN Midlands, on the R103 Midlands Meander, and on the beautiful property of Highgate Wine Estate, affords this distinctive outdoor shopping centre with gorgeous views of the vineyards and the mighty Midlands.

Offering a variety of lifestyle destination shops, more than five eating establishments, plenty of activities for young and old, Piggly Wiggly is a must-visit destination on the Midlands Meander.

The Karkloof Canopy Tour consists of 12 platforms and 10 zip-line slides, the longest of which is 200m! A tour lasts approximately two hours, this is a safe, fun adventure for people between the ages of 6 and 80+ and includes refreshments during the tour.

On 5 August 1962 outside Howick, Nelson Mandela was arrested. The story of his 27-year incarceration and subsequent long walk to freedom are now famous around the world – but perhaps not many people realise that they can visit the actual capture site.

That is why the Nelson Mandela Capture Site both commemorates and teaches the public about this key moment in South African history. Thanks to their on-site visitor centre and world-famous sculpture.
